12.1.1 YGGDRASIL

Yggdrasil is the single largest living entity in existence, its branches
stretching forth to touch lands and realms innumerable as they span all worlds
and none across planar barriers and planetary confines uncharted by even the most intrepid Gods, lesser immortals, and adventurers. Although it might take the form of a mighty oak tree to the vision of mortals, it is believed this is simply an interpretation of the mind, an attempt to perceive and comprehend an infinite spiralling web of trails across all Creation that may never be fully understood by any save the Logos Himself.

Supporting Achaea's highest mountains - the Pillars of Heaven - the massive
trunk of Yggdrasil acts as a metaphysical highway, its known tiers comprised of
behemothic branches large enough to support entire nations, for such is the
immensity of the World Tree's span. Within each burns the unending, eternal
Flame, each extrusion of the blazing beacon offering a gateway to a distant plane with its embrace.

The Pilgrimage of Yggdrasil is not for the faint of heart. From the lowest
depths of Frysta to the highest reaches of Mannamot, every step upon the
planar pathway offered by the World Tree is a step further away from your own
reality towards a distant world, its unknown and potentially dangerous
inhabitants, and the risk of a far worse fate than simple death.
