12.14.3 The Island of Shala-Khulia

The island of Shala-Khulia is in the oceans to the southwest of Sapience,
accessible by a ferry off the Aalen forest coast and further south than the
island of Polyargos. It is a warm, tropical island covered by a dense
rainforest. Within the rainforest is Shala-Khulia city, the stronghold of a
primitive civilization that has dwelt upon the island since time immemorial. A
separate tribe called the Khish resides within caves in the rainforest. It is
rumoured that a Necromancer laid a terrible curse upon the island long ago, a 
curse which somehow links the rainforest to the forest of Rheodad in far
northern Sapience.
