Bad Joke Contest!
Good news, everyone!
After careful deliberation, the team of mimes we enslaved to judge the badjoke contest has come back with their verdict. The top 3 jokes we're adding are:
#1: I copied a book about Neraeos once, the author said it was Pelagiaism! (Alyzar)
#2: What you do call a knight who doesn't sleep? A kday! (Aodfionn)
#3 You ever been locked by a runewarden? It happened to me once, but Eihwaz not sure how! (Elmer)
These three are receiving 500, 250, and 150 credits respectively for their great and awful jokes!
In addition, we're adding several more jokes by Aodfionn, Blackwillow, Archaosa, Rasque, Hadriann, Theosis, Zargoth, and Truax which you'll have to wait and see in-game. Every joke added gets 50 credits to the submitter in addition to whatever placement credits they received.
Thanks for all your submissions (some truly terrible) and we'll see you again for another contest very soon!
(I can finally unmute the Contests channel).

Comment on post... March in Achaea!
Hi folks!
March has arrived and Year 1000 is on the horizon! Be sure you review UPCOMING for an up to date calendar of the festivities: a wealth of content, lore, events, celebrations, and weeks of fun is at hand!
The long-awaited raffle will be drawn shortly and winners announced after this post.
In the meantime we're welcoming back polymegahedral dice! These can be obtained on the website via www.achaea.com/credits.
Dice purchases also award House and City credits, and, for Iron Elite members, every 10 you purchase grants you an extra one!
You can roll up to five dice at one time.
DICE ROLL [number of dice to roll (defaults to 1 if unspecified)]
For each two dice rolled in combination in this way you will receive 1 racetrack ticket (so 1 ticket if you roll 2 or 3 in combination, 2 tickets if you roll 4). There is a bonus for rolling all 5 together, so you will receive 3 racetrack tickets if you roll 5 dice together.
Dice currently have six sides. The prizes for each side are as follows (and yes, these dice are weighted).
1: Credits (between 30 and 50).
2: Interlocked caches that open for the Historical, Marks(*), and Planes sets.
3: Legend Deck card sleeves which open for all suits, including cards from the new Ancientstaff** suit! (see below)
4: 1 or 2 Mayan crowns
5: Shining teardrops for use in the FAESHOP, see HELP FAESHOP for details!
* You will always receive between 10 and 15 of these, and they trade in for 3 bound credits per tear (FAESHOP TRADEIN ).
* These can also now be traded with FAESHOP GIVE TO )
6: One of: a silver giftbox, a golden giftbox, a bronze giftbox, or 100 credits.

With the return of the Marks set, the Cloak of the Blood Maiden can now also be obtained in the Delosian Talisman shop, however it has undergone some changes:
- The cloak's shield cannot be used while prone when under aggression aura (this preserves its use for PvE).
- When used while under aggression aura, there is now a 50% chance to lose one charge.
* The Ancientstaff card suit is the first in a planned series to commemorate adventurer wielders of the Staff of Nicator. Cards include:
- Isildur, the Iceman
* Draw this card while specifying another player and the the first adventure they complete will be worth double renown.
* This does not work on yourself and does not stack with the daily theme bonus, but does not consume the daily theme bonus either.
* Recharges once every 24 hours.
- Shakti Devi
* Draw this card in a direction, and any stonewall barring that path shall be reduced to rubble in its place.
* Recharges once an hour.
- Roncli Op'Shae
* Draw this card while specifying a denizen type, and become aware of all denizens of that type in your area. (e.g LDECK DRAW RONCLI TSOL'DASI will list all Tsol'dasi in the area)
* Recharges once an hour.
- Reiye Wildfang
* Draw this card and be apprised of all adventurers in the land who are visible to your eye, bypassing any obscuring chameleons in the process. (i.e You will see a version of QW with any chameleons revealed)
* Recharges once an hour.
- Jaiszur Ta'sa
* Draw this card against a target in a suitable location and both you and they shall be lifted into the skies.
* Note: This will not function during Championship Worldgames.
* Recharges once an hour.
**NOTE: Ancientstaff cards all have one charge each, and, unlike other suits, have five distinct effects in place of a joker. As such, the Jaizsur card will be obtained on completion of the other four in the suit.
There is a very small chance for a particularly lucky dice to land on its corner. This dice will pay out a platinum giftbox instead of its standard prize!
Every 500 dice rolled (gamewide), the lucky roller will also receive 500 credits on top of their standard prizes.
As always, capping renown 7 times will also award one dice!
And last but not least, the Memory talisman set (HELP MEMORY TALISMANS) is now available in a newly-opened branch of the Delosian Talisman Shop, alongside the writ of higher education (instant learning) which can be found in the Miscellaneous Artefacts shop!
Enjoy!

Comment on post... There and Here
They had been gone a while, though it was impossible to know just how much Time had passed amid the vicissitudes of the slumbering Dream.
It pushed them under. It pulled them in. At times, it objected vociferously to their presence, and at others, only watched. It spun, like an idle spider minding a tremulous web, an uncountable number of distortions and refractions, picking and unpicking psychotic patterns in the web as it bent the light of reality along the glistening threads of the now and then.
Time passed differently here. Forwards. Backwards. Cavorting through transient days and weeks and hours that may have lasted as long as years, with no discernible rhyme or reason beyond that which the Dream necessitated. Time surged forth upon the waves of the collective subconscious and receded again on its ungovernable tides within a storm of thought and memory. In the perpetual twilight of the Dream, night became day and day night, but never in the same manner twice.
They stopped to rest.
So as not to invite the passage of more time, they sat together quietly and held very still. No longer were they venturing. What they had risked themselves to journey this far into Her realm to find, they had found. At long last, the old words resurfaced. Their foundations rose through the muck of the dead, departed, and misremembered. They had enough to rebuild with. They could go back. By all measures of mortal grasping, it was a triumph, except...
Upon its finding, the path Back had unceremoniously closed behind them, and sometimes it seemed that there had never been a path at all, or a world before this one to which they might return, or should, or have any impetus to do so beyond a niggling feeling, like a dream scarce recalled in the first bleary seconds after waking.
Then they would remember themselves with a start. And the day would begin anew.
"The Dream has calmed."
"Yes. We escape its notice for now."
Today he was a young man, ageing in reverse, his eyes as bright and clear as they would be when he was much older. He was handsome, she thought, not because of any one physical trait or feature, but because he was kind and familiar to her. She had begun to forget, as well, what a man should look like, and so took less umbrage with his naked lack of scales. He could have been the first man. Each morning was a genesis. She shut her eyes and thought of home.
"Priestess," he murmured. "I've been thinking. In the event that we don't make it back..."
For all his careful wording and diplomacy, he was soon interrupted, his misgivings swiftly dashed upon the rocks of his companion. She straightened in her silks. "We will," said Chakmar, her voice resolute. "We must, Dolaron. Because..." She struggled to fix on the reason. Another year passed in furlough while she thought to herself.
"Because they are waiting for us."
Far off in what the Dream declared the distance, they could hear, softly trilling, the melodic song of a lark.

Comment on post... Updates
It is Wednesday, the 25th of February, and the following changes have been implemented:
- Chaghut should now drop gear in similar amounts / styles as similar high end zones.
- The Ioje Strumpet quest in the Air Lord questline has been updated to make the minimums costs more obvious.
- OVERWHELM, PSIBLAST, DRAGONSPIT, OVERRIDE, DRAGONBLAZE, DRAGONSPARK, and DRAGONCHILL (various battlerages for different dragon colours) now deal UNBLOCKABLE damage rather than BLUNT.
- Fixed an issue where the above battlerage attacks were incorrectly scaling with the strength stat. Battlerage damage is intended to scale only with player level, up to a defined cap. As a result of this correction and standardisation with other battlerage abilities, these attacks may now deal slightly less damage than before.
- PESTILENCE DEVOUR and STING can now be used against denizens without a free hand available. You still need to have a free hand to use any pestilence skills in PvP, but seeing as this could be accomplished via mass wielding/unwielding while hunting, we decided this restriction should not apply to PvE.
