How curious.

There are some very interesting trains of thought here, that tickle my mind so.

First, we have the Celestians, lamenting the choice of another organisation to have made a decision that they do not find agreeable.

I wonder if as much care was given to Serenwilde, when Celest decided to ally themselves with the Forest's tormentors, the ones who they watched idly by time and again as raiders from the Glomdoring ravaged Serenwilde's manifestation upon the Ethereal plane. Whom they left to the mercy of the merciless time and again when Serenwilde was assisting them in some venture or other.

I can only imagine how much the Serenwilde cares about your opinions, likely as much as you clearly cared for theirs as you ran back to an old alliance, in the vain hope it can once again bail you out when your cowardly provocations result in retribution you cannot handle.

A word of advice, perhaps this time accept you are the lesser in your alliance, and little more than a protectorate of the Glomdoring, instead of puffing your chests out and acting like you are the be all and end all of your alliance. It may take Glomdoring longer to be sick of your antics this time around, it was surprising the Serenwilde tolerated you as long as they did, and as Tarken noted, no surprise they eventually chose to tolerate you no longer.

Though for reasons he is yet to discover.

Then we have the Basin's latest True Ascendant, who seems to remember some atrocities of the past, but forgets the countless fae seduced and led away to the Celestines over the years. It's funny the lengths your false memory will go to reject the truth of matters for an alternative timeline where you can rest comfortably with the choices you've made.

Oh, and before you herald yourself as the Defender of the Basin again, we are all defenders of the Basin, fighting the same enemy. What you were is the victor in a power grab contest, yes Veyils made a great sacrifice to ensure Kethuru remained sealed, but let us be honest with one another, if such things are possible amidst all the lies and deceit these last few posts have conjured. You did not do it for altriustic reasons, there was power to be gained and you sought it. There's no shame in that, you're not the first of us to have done so.

I leave you both, city and commune, with your thanks for the interest in our new Alliance, and your concerns are duly noted.

However I suggest you look to your own partnership. Willful blindness and false truths are clearly healthy foundations for a long lasting and meaningful relationship.

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Urlachmar, in the year 506 CE.
