Hello, Imperian!

We've been remiss in updating you on the goings-on of late, and for that I humbly apologize. In this post, I'll include a roll-up of recent changes (including the changes made in the latest short classlead round)! These have been reported in-game already via CHANGELOGs, and posted in the Patch Notes thread on the forums, but they have not yet been posted to Announce.

Without further ado:
SKILLS
- MAIMING - BARRIER is now subject to the same restrictions as other abilities that raise the shield effect.
- Rebounding will now be blocked if you're mid-channel using vivisect.
- LEAP may now be used in flooded rooms if you have waterwalking, rather than silently failing. This bug was introduced when BACKFLIP was made to be blocked by water regardless of waterwalking, inadvertantly introducing a bug in leap.
- When THESPIA - THERAPEUTICS heals someone other than the caster, the third party message will now correctly show who had their affliction healed, instead of the caster's name.
- It is no longer possible to WORM WARP into the sewers of a city missing its statue. If other methods of entering the sewers are possible, please bug them.
- Bileshroud shrugging will now be refreshed 30 seconds after being lost.

RITUALS
- Holding pillar ritual now correctly holds with 80% odds rather than the 4% it was working at

GENERAL
- Timers tracked as "states" internally should no longer take longer than they are supposed to. This may impact many things, but the impact should be bringing them back to their intended timings.
- The liquid rift can again be filled from concoction pots
- Players using Mudlet version 4.5.1-de (which doesn't have the auto-update feature) will now get a notification shortly after login reminding them to update to a newer version.
- Using DEATHS will no longer lock Nexus users into having a fixed width font until the next command to use fixed width is used.
-You will now receive a notice approximately once an hour if you have unread messages.
- Artifacts that normally cannot be shared (must be flagged loyal to their owner) previously didn't work if you received them as a temporary artifact. This is no longer the case - temporary artifacts now ignore loyalty
- RING INVITE, RING ACCEPT, RING QUIT, and RING MEMBERS can no longer be forced.
- Additional information has been added to the confirm prompts for fragment tradeins and crushing ancestral stones including the item you're confirming.
- It is no longer possible to form a second warding amulet if you already own one.
- You will now receive a message when smoking the last puff from a pipe.

CONFLICT
- Changed how guard squads work during raids to keep the leader in squad alone so the squad doesn't delete itself during the raid leaving nothing for the guards to return to
- Raids will now reward the defending city if the raid is unsuccessful. The point values are inverted, with the defending city receiving more points than the attackers.

CITIES/GUILDS
- Cerise should now allow inguilding from allowed cities rather than restricted cities by the guild

CLASSLEADS
- Classlead 944: The hammer tattoo will now relapse over a period of 10 seconds without balance followed by a 10 second cooldown.
- Classlead 963: Knifeplay feint balance now in line with jab
- Classlead 962: Engineering already has a flash bomb, which will now pull people into phase similar to an eye sigil (it retains its original role as well). It is not intended to be a duplicate of the eye sigil in cost or ease of use, but it does provide some method of returning people from phase.
- Classlead 957: Throwing with returning was not supposed to be stopped by selfishness. This should be fixed now.
- Classlead 951: Broken torso was not actually giving the bleeding damage that was described in the affliction description. It will now give bleeding as it should.
- Classlead 939: Warding piercejab will remove both rebounding and shielding (but will not also attack if both are removed)
- Classlead 904: Gutwyrm can be done off balance, but the effects are reduced to 25% sip penalty and 1-3 random cures
- Classlead 945: Illusion staff will function per normal unless the character has been in combat within the last 4 minutes in which case it functions the same as illusion in sabatoge.
Classlead 946: Changing the brainmelt damage calculation from a two-level linear scale to a power function. Lower affliction counts will do much less damage, whereas the skill looks more akin to an instakill at the highest level.
- Classlead 947: Anti-Magick allies still apply normally for frostheart, but non-AM actors only count once every 5 seconds (per target).
- Classlead 950: You can sing Arinyu every 20 seconds and there is now a message for when the cooldown expires
- Classlead 948: Geode will grant a faster herb balance only, and macadam will grant a 5% bonus to health and mana. No locator beacon for cabocohon
- classlead 949: There's a lot of arguments both ways on this one, but the thing that comes through the strongest is that the points for a monument deface shouldn't be the same as a bigger raid objective. That is being changed so monument defaces will be worth about 1/5th of the points of a normal objective. There's still something to be said for having an easier raid objective as they don't all need to be the same level of challenge, but rather a level of challenge in proportion to the damage done.
- classlead 965: Approve, but disapprove. Escapes are good, hinders are good. We're going to try something different for this one. There is now a new single use inexpensive artifact (diachaim glue) that will disable the flip boots for a short period. We'll reconsider this further after we see how this works out.
- Classlead 966: BOIL # <toxin> will now allow you to boil # sips (up to 200) of a thin toxin into a thick toxin right from (and into) your liquid rift.
- classlead 958: Changed so that arrowcatching doesn't work if you are in the same room and elevation, but it is otherwise unchanged.

That's all for now!

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Artificium, in the year 220 AM.
