Tsol'teth, Shrines, and Tide

Greetings Sapience,

Hycanthus of the Conclave has sabotaged the Barrier that was placed to keep the Tsol'teth from invading Achaea.

A few months ago, while the barrier was being sabotaged, the Tsol'teth called for a Crusade under the name of their created god Tlalaiad, the Genesis. Sapience managed to acquire a fair amount of essence in this Crusade, but we were aware that the Tsol'teth probably had enough to do whatever they planned. Some months later, during a crusade started by Mhaldor, the barrier failed due to sabotage.

During this time, more fragments from the barrier were strewn across Sapience. Cyrene, who Sapience had aided some months before in experimentation, received a barrier created from the twenty fragments absorbed into their font the moment the Tsol'teth’s barrier failed. All six main cities gained this barrier before Shrines from the Tsol'teth started to be forced to the surface. This barrier prevents the purple fog known as the Black Wave or the Tide from seeping into the cities.

The Tsol'teth seek enslavement or destruction for all the surface dwellers. We cannot allow for them to take our world. We need to destroy all shrines that have appeared and began seeping the Tide.

The Tide has goblinoids, ogres, beetles, and massive shadows that will appear within it that are considered to be relevant to your might. This does not mean that they are easy foes. All these were created by the Tsol'teth to combat us. Upon entering the Tide, you will lose your shadow and it will be stored within the shrine. This is a necessary evil due to the fact that the Tide must be cleared.

In the previous Black Wave, we were made aware of how to destroy Tsol'teth shrines.

Step 1: Clear the Area of all the Tide.
Doing this should be done on a room to room basis and and you should remain solo when doing it. The more people in the room, the more monsters appear. If its just you, and you kill one, the tide recedes and you can continue.

Do: Kill the creatures in the Tide
Dont: Interfere with other people who are killing monsters in their own room.

Step 2: UNWIND SHRINE once all the Tide in the area is cleared. Please Coordinate when doing this as to make sure that someone who has lost their shadow is coming to unwind the shrine. Unwinding a shrine allows for the shadow stolen to be released and once all these are released, eventually see to the Shrine's destruction.

NOTE: Once you UNWIND you have to wait 24 days before you can use it again. Use it carefully! You can waste it!

The following is a list of areas that have Shrines within them:

Adryn's Keep
Aerinewild
Aureliana Forest - DESTROYED
Black Forest - DESTROYED
Bitterfork Village
Bog of Ashtan
Central Wilderness
Chapel of the All - DESTROYED
Dakhota Hills
