Oblivious No Longer

Ashtan,

We stand at the precipice of Madness. For centuries I have brought nothing but destruction into this world with detached indifference. I have felt no anger. No joy. I can stand no more of this numb nihilistic existence. I have witnessed the Endless Hunger of He whom I called Master consume the living matter from which we were Created without satiation.

The Void will come. This is true. It will claim our existence, destroy everything that is - such is the nature of Chaos. It is the responsibility of the Living to maintain the balance between Order and Chaos. That was our task. It is unfortunate that Chaos has lost its way - the interest in balance has been lost. Where Order represents the wick, Chaos is the spark that births the flame of mortal passion. The forfeit of this Duality, this binary requirement for Life, will certainly welcome annihilation. With our thoughts seduced by preachings of nihilism we hardly felt the mark of the Twin, 'II', our representation of the balance between Order and Chaos, fade from our flesh. Lord Babel wishes us to balk from this mortal duty in order to invite a non-existence without flaw - perfect nothingness. Indeed, it cannot exist. It is a self contradicting, impossible Void. And yet, in its perfect imperfection, composed of that which is no longer, it IS.

Well, I have never been one for surrender.

I will attempt to save that which can be saved. The rest will be cleansed.

I would bid farewell, but I suspect it won't be any amount of time until we meet again. If nothing else, we certainly were sticklers for tradition.

Until then, brothers.

Cordially,
