On Silver and Steel

Six pillars stand upon the bedrock of our faith
To lift our mountain city o'er the fray
Of mewling sycophants, acting out the factions' play.
While we, mortal craftsmen at the lathe,

Create a future bright as newly burnished steel.
We few who set our sight on what we might become,
The pinnacle of culture! Greater than the sum
Of lesser parts. We do not seek to make them kneel,

Those who view this world through pious lens.
Instead we strive to paint a picture all can see
Of just how rich a peaceful life can be.
These several stanchion pillars must portend

Greatness, rivaling lost Seleucar's sad destiny,
And proclaim the highland people -ever- shall be free!

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Ero, in the year 857 AF.
