Ocean Muse

Not a tale too new, nor sensation too old
It's a heartfelt tune known to both meek & bold
Yet my strings, plucked anew, resonate with your own
And I can't help but think of your arms as my home.

You might think you're a threat, as your gaze sparks a flame
But engulf me, I'll let, it's a blaze I can tame
Ocean muse, cast your net, for I'll gladly be caught
One more day without you, I can suffer it naught.

I'm a tattered strung canvas, aye, this much may be true
But you've drawn many sails, handling mine won't be new
I can trust in your tricks, I can handle your guile
Take my soul as your ship, let's offshore for a while.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Phaestian, in the year 828 AF.
