the beat of my heart

My anticipation is bleeding,
Come stem the flow
Could I forgive you for leaving
Were your promises deceiving?
Will I ever know?

You showed me the highs
Now I can feel the lows
You were someone that tries
Despite all that I despise
I'll join in the flow

That's what you did
That's where I fall apart

Because nothing's more alive
Than the beating of your heart
The beating of your heart and mine

Each second makes me weaker
Every day makes me cold
Could my life be any bleaker?
Like an adrenaline seeker
That's grown way too old

That's what you did
That's where I fall apart

There's beauty in your presents
Serenity in your presence
Feeling the beat of your heart and mine

My anticipation is bleeding
Will I ever stem the flow?
Feeling the beat of my heart alone

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Mayan, in the year 807 AF.
