Silence

Written by: Maestro Ameer Chu, Insidious Secretary
Date: Tuesday, July 30th, 2019
Addressed to: Everyone

Smog
The darkness and the fog
A burning when I breathe
Noise
Sound without the poise
The world begins to seethe

Embracing the din
I cannot let it win

But I'm being ripped apart
By the silence that surrounds
Suffocating in tranquility
Bring back the sounds

Stain
My spirit marked with pain
Twisting through my mind
Noise
Sound without the poise
Leaving me blind

Let me hear the commotion
Before I lose my devotion

But I'm being ripped apart
By the silence that surrounds
Suffocating in tranquility
Bring back the sounds

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Lupar, in the year 806 AF.
