It's come to our attention that the death talisman set being part of the collections list allowed pumpkins from the October promotion to be opened for full talisman items. This is evidently not intentional (for reference, the collections caches reward battle figurines and minipets, not talismans).

We have now disabled this from happening (opening for death will simply recycle your pumpkin), and will be reverting any talismans obtained in this fashion over the last 24 hours.

If you have benefitted from this oversight at all, I would strongly advise messaging Nicola immediately to let her know.
