Lost on a straight path

The path was so straight

Not black or white
It felt so right

So how'd I get so lost

The light was blinding
The darkness binding

An uncontrollable rage
Could no longer be caged

Plunging into the deep
These treasured memories I keep

Been lost for so long
Can't see where it went wrong

A touch on the arm
Jumping in alarm

Like looking into a mirror
It becomes so crystal clear

Rising from this haze
I see now there was no maze

Time to end this phase
And conquer this laze

A cautionary tale about the importance of proper lawn care by,
-Balfriel Zul'rath

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Mayan, in the year 792 AF.
