A Prince's Tale: Rebellion

On a massive War Galley did the adventurers embark, their enchanted instrument on the eve of its first concert. Far out to sea, they battled a leviathan, aided by Pandora summoning Her own version of the creature as an ally. Encouraged by Tesha al Ashtad and Jarrod's cheering orders, the kaleidoscopic beast triumphed over its wild sibling and then retreated to the depths.

As the ship landed on Suliel Island, its captain, a Nerai by the name of Elyra Vorondil, questioned the Goddess. The island was the prison of Borak, and, according to Elyra, Borak should not be freed. Pandora replied by stating She knew about Borak, and that calmed most of the crew - as they would soon find out, this was to become a lesson in always wording one's question carefully around a Goddess whose realm is Mischief at heart.

The Goddess plucked a song from Her enchanted harp, and Her Divine voice enveloped the world from Suliel to Meropis and beyond. Mortals everywhere immediately fell to sleep as they heard Her voice, but Her target was Iliya, a demigoddess charged with keeping Borak safely locked away. Iliya resisted Pandora's lullaby until the end, ready to fight Her if she had to, but she was ultimately helpless and stumbled into dreams.

Iliya subdued, Borak was free within moments. He shouted his triumph, and Pandora gave a satisfied laugh. Taking Iliya and the ever-playing harp both, She took what was once Borak's prison for Herself, leaving Her mortal retinue behind.

It took only a month for Borak to make his next move. He proclaimed that the seas had been too welcoming of landwalkers, and they would no longer be so. A sea-churning ritual stirred the monsters of the depths, and the seas became much more dangerous in but a moment.

Jinsun Ze'Dekiah proved this for himself by summoning a kraken just one month after. Over a dozen ships sank to the fearsome beast before the Pirate King's ship landed its last blow on the creature, proving that the landwalking mortals would not surrender easily.

Summary: Pandora hosted the Pandoran Trials, an inter-city contest that ended up being a way to recruit for an adventuring society. The society went on a series of quests to assemble a magical harp to free a trapped prince, but they found out at the end that this 'prince' was Borak, Caspeid of the Northern Sea and sworn enemy of Neraeos. Now, the seas have become more dangerous by his doing.
