Eleusis,

I pen this news post from your own news room. Your guards are dead. Darkness reigns supreme over your village. You have been appropriately disarmed, and we have demonstrated that your supposed prowess is trivial - that of rodents gnawing at the boots of their betters.

You see, we will always fight against the menace of Nature, striving for a greater future for mortalkind - an expansion and advancement of civilisation beyond that from which it originated. But we are not savages.

It did not have to come to this. We sought to be reasonable. You instead chose to behave as cowards - to deride us as if you have achieved some grand victory. Is this victory to you? Is this what you desire?

A well understood principle in Hashan is that we all possess free will, but our choices have consequences. Thus, I will say once again what I have said many times to your individual citizens: cease your cowardly assaults upon our city when only the scarcest number of soldiers are holding guard. If you do not, we will bring the full might of the Court of Shadows to bear against you in return.

In Progress and in Darkness,

Farrah Roualt
Seneschal

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Sarapin, in the year 860 AF.
