Greetings Sapience!

In conjunction with the 852 Championship Games, it is my pleasure to announce that the Order of Lord Phaestus is reinstituting the Master Crafter Awards. In the past, this award was given by Lord Phaestus and the Order to those crafters who exemplified themselves in their craft. It has not been given for hundreds of years, but now, we are reviving this tradition with a bit of a twist.

Anyone, from any city, or no city, may submit an entry to the contest. One entry per person. You need not have the tradeskill to submit a design. The categories will be: Tailoring, Jewellery, Cooking, Beverages, Weaponmastery, and Armoursmithing. For Weapons and Armour, no standard descriptors are allowed.

Please submit your design in the same way you would submit a sketch to the Craft Guild - including descriptions for appearance, dropped and examined. Cooking designs should also include taste, smell, firsteaten and thirdeaten descriptions. Beverage designs should also include all of the special descriptions unique to that tradeskill.

You have the entire year of 852 to submit your design, due by 25 Mayan 852 A.F. to Roselie, by letter. Please don't forget to sign it! Unsigned entries will be judged by Chomps, the humgii.

Prizes:

To be given out in each category:
1st prize: 200,000 gold and an engraved platinum medallion
2nd prize: 100,000 gold and an engraved gold medallion
3rd prize: 50,000 gold and an engraved silver medallion

The contest will be judged by the Hand of Phaestus, the Craftmaster of Phaestus, and a member of the Chosen. There may, or may not, be a guest Divine judge. And there may, or may not, be a winner who receives a custom item award using their weapon or armour design, depending on how amazed the judges are by the quality of the entries.

I look forward to receiving many, many letters!

Roselie Rian-Moonshadow, Craftmaster of Phaestus

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Mayan, in the year 851 AF.
