Across the land, a cacophony of voices rose within the minds of mortals in all corners of the continent. For years had these two personalities clashed in private, but this sibilant outburst shared the final exchange for all to hear. In response to the debate's conclusion, the groan of flora and stone echoed from the depths of Xhaiden Dale as a wall of undergrowth that once tangled the path to the heart of the swamp reluctantly receded.

"This had better not be a mistake, sister. You know what happened last time we invited outsiders into our home," one voice quietly conceded to the other in private.

"Relax, Ensavi. You will see, they will be an asset to you and your plans."

"They had better, Aneesh, or I will be most cross when we find a new home."

Curious adventurers found the old woman, Pirin, standing far deeper in the swamp than she ever usually ventured, directing them to seek out one called Ensavi. Moments later, his voice echoed from a series of slimy caves hewn from the rock and mud, arguing with the young leatherworker, Erica.

Though initially distrustful, the Ka'ah Wormlord relented to an agreement with impromptu representatives from cities around the land: he would offer those who visit tasks to complete for the privilege of stomping around his home, with some coin as reward for a satisfactory completion of each. As the great serpent seemed mollified towards guests within his caves, Erica returned to her shop, happy that the way would stay open and mind spinning with the possibilities of crocodile-themed apparel for serpentine bodies.
