The easiest way to play Achaea is using Nexus, our custom-made client that uses Java in your browser. We highly recommend using Nexus to connect to Achaea, as it is coded specifically for that purpose and does not require you to install additional software. Click on the circular Play Now button to the upper left, and it will automatically open the Nexus client and connect you to Achaea within a browser window.

There are a number of alternative clients available online, designed for users at all levels of experience. Some of the more popular choices of Achaea's players are listed to the right. The basic information you will need when connecting through these clients is:
Host: achaea.com (or use IP: 208.185.247.26)
    Port: 23

If you are unable to use Nexus or any of the other clients, you may wish to use a standard telnet connection. The Telnet link at the right will attempt to bring up a basic telnet client from your operating system and connect for you. Be warned, however, that this method is extremely limited in functionality, and you will be unable to use your delete key (though you can use control-U in many cases to erase the full command line). Connecting in this way is recommended only as a last resort.

Finally, you may wish to browse the Client Help section of our player forums.
