13.4.1 WEARING AND WIELDING
For one-handed swords, you still have the old-fashioned scabbards. While for knives, dirks, and daggers, you now have sheaths. For one-handed axes, and maces you have beltloops and for those who really prefer brute force, for the two-handed weapons, there is the sturdy baldric. For those of you with a thing for whips and blackjacks, there are belthooks to hang them from. All of these weapon holders must be worn in order to draw or sheathe a weapon. The penultimate command for weapon and shield control: WIELD [item1|NONE] [item2|NONE] However, the alternatives for old school folks are listed below. Putting a sword into a scabbard: SHEATHE SHEATHE [LEFT/RIGHT] SHEATHE <weapon> SHEATHE <holder> Getting a sword out of a scabbard: DRAW DRAW [SALUTE/STRONG] [LEFT/RIGHT] DRAW <weapon> [SALUTE/STRONG] [LEFT/RIGHT] DRAW <holder> [SALUTE/STRONG] [LEFT/RIGHT] Lashing a shield to a backstrap LASH <shield> TO <backstrap> UNLASH LEFT|RIGHT UNLASH <shield> [LEFT|RIGHT] UNLASH <holder> [LEFT|RIGHT] To equip (wield, ready, or hold) something in your hand(s), WIELD it. WIELD [LEFT|RIGHT] <item> For example, WIELD SWORD, or WIELD RIGHT RAPIER. Additional commands related to wield: WIELDED - shows what you are wielding. UNWIELD <item|LEFT|RIGHT> - unwield something. SWAP HANDS - Swap wielded items to other hand. To equip (aka wear) something on your body, arms, etc, WEAR it. WEAR <item> - put something on. REMOVE <item> - take something off.
