Of Potters, Dreams, and Sandmen.

The upside of residing in a desert, if you ignore the dead dragons that might rain from the skies, the occasional wandering cultists, falling obelisks, and burning ritualists, is that the weather rarely gets cold. A downside to this, at least in Gazban's eyes, was that El'Jazira never saw snow, not even during Logosmas.

In all his years, and there had been many, the potter had dearly wanted to build a snowman for Logosmas. As the great, year 700 contest for the Staff of Nicator came to a close, Gazban decided he would (with a little help) build a great snowman, out of sand.

Adventurers from all over came together to assist the ancient crafter. They pushed great balls of sand across the desert, collected carrots, coal, buttons, and sticks to help decorate the finished marvel.

As a new step in the great Dance of the Vault began, a strange, tingling sensation of anticipation was felt across the Mhojave. The stars overhead shimmered an ethereal green as a strange magic settled upon the desert.

The sandman shifted, the sandman stretched, and the sandman gave a great yawn as life breathed into his roughly-shaped body. Silently, with a smile, the golem offered a hand to Gazban, and with a nervous laugh, the old potter accepted the gesture and the two walked off into the rolling dunes of the Mhojave.

Over the following day, two figures, specks against the sky, could be seen soaring high above Sapience, only a gentle sift of arid sand falling to mark their passage.

The magic of this cycle's turn was not to last for long, but Gazban now bears a colourful winter scarf tied about his waist, a momento of his Logosmas dream come true.
